You’ve seen some of America’s best shooters take on the Top Shot challenge, and now it’s time for YOU to join their ranks.

With production on season 3 gearing up, the History Channel is NOW CASTING SEASON 4 of its electrifying marksmanship competition show. Producers are looking for anyone with unrivaled shooting skills and a big personality to take on exciting physical challenges with multiple guns and mystery projectile weapons. If you are skilled with a pistol, rifle or any other firearm, you could win $100,000 on TOP SHOT 4.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a professionally trained shooter or a self-taught average Joe or Jane. As long as you’re in good physical shape, have mastered a firearm and can adapt to new weapons and demanding physical situations, you could be America’s next Top Shot.

The SSC United States Invitational Match will be July 16th at Custer Sportsmen’s Club in Custer, Washington. The full 8 stage course of fire from the Steel Challenge will be shot in 7 divisions. Match fee is $30. Match capacity is 80 shooters, so hurry to reserve your slot! Application is available here. Contact Kim Gorham for more information.

The 2011 Provisional SCSA Rules have been posted. You can find the .PDF file on our Policies and Rules page at this link.

The ATF is asking for comments concerning action shooting sports as a “sport” and if certain shotguns have a sporting purpose.

Be sure to send your comments explaining that many tens of thousands of action shooters do indeed comprise a well established shooting sport. USPSA, IDPA and NRA have competitions that use these shotguns on a regular basis.

The dates for the 2011 Steel Challenge have been set. The match will be conducted August 17th – 21st and will once again be held in Piru, California. Watch this space for more details on the match as they become available.

The first annual Arizona State Steel challenge Championship to be held in Prescott AZ, October 28, 29 & 30, 2010. Our web site is http://www.prescottactionshooters.com/ and application forms are available on line. The Main Event will be Saturday the 30th with shooters wanting to compete in multiple divisions competing Thursday and Friday depending on the number of divisions they wish to shoot. We do have wired stop plates so anyone wanting to challenge the best will have a chance to do so at our match. It is a trophy match, all bragging rights included.
